1Controller

This privacy policy explains how personal data is handled in the iOS app AlbumDeck (“the app”). It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2The principle: We don’t collect your data

The app is deliberately designed so that all processing takes place exclusively on your device. The app does not transmit any personal data to us or to third parties, contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking services, and does not create user accounts. We do not operate any servers that the app communicates with.

3Access to your music library

To display album covers and track information, the app asks once for the iOS permission to access your media library (“Media & Apple Music”). The information read in the process (e.g. album titles, artists, cover images) is processed and displayed exclusively on your device. Nothing is transmitted to us or to third parties.

You can revoke this permission at any time in the iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Media & Apple Music. The app will then only be usable to a limited extent (e.g. in demo mode).

4Purchases and in-app purchases

AlbumDeck is offered as a one-time paid purchase through the App Store. Should optional in-app purchases be offered in a future version, they are likewise handled entirely by Apple. In every case the payment is processed by Apple: we do not receive your payment details or identity — only anonymized, aggregated sales statistics. Apple’s privacy policy applies to the purchase itself.

4aAdvertising

The app currently contains no advertising and no advertising-related tracking. If an advertising-supported option were introduced in a future version, it could involve third-party advertising providers that process data under their own responsibility. Before enabling any such feature, we would update this privacy policy to name those providers and describe the data concerned, adjust the app’s App Store privacy details (“privacy labels”) accordingly, and — where the law requires it — ask for your consent beforehand.

5Support requests by email

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide (email address, content of your message) solely to handle your request (where the GDPR applies: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The correspondence is deleted once it is no longer required for this purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply. It is not shared with third parties.

6This website

This website is a static information page. It uses no cookies, no analytics tools and loads no resources from third-party servers. When you visit it, our hosting provider Swizzonic AG (Badenerstrasse 47, 8004 Zürich, Switzerland) processes server log data (e.g. IP address, time of access) for technical reasons, to ensure operation and security, and stores it only for a limited period.

7Your rights

Subject to applicable law (Art. 25 et seq. FADP; Art. 15–21 GDPR), you have in particular the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Since the app does not transmit any personal data to us, we generally hold no data about you — apart from any email correspondence.

To exercise your rights, an informal email to support@bionicgarage.ch is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU the supervisory authority responsible for you.

8Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy, for example when the app is extended with new features. In particular, if a future version introduces new data processing — such as in-app purchases, advertising or analytics — we will describe it here, and update the App Store privacy details, before that feature is released. The version currently published on this page applies, and the date of the latest revision is shown at the top of this page.
